Brenda Evans: Louise Seger

By day Brenda is a mild mannered Fiscal Technician at Erie Homes for Children and Adults, Inc. By night, she is a star of the stage and a legend in her own mind! Brenda has performed on many stages in the Erie Area as well as the Riverside Inn Dinner Theatre in Cambridge Spring and the Academy Theatre in Meadville.

Brenda started "acting up" as a kid doing summer shows with the Salem Community Theatre Troupe in Knox, PA where she was also known to play a mean tuba. Having grown up in a very musical family, Brenda attributes much of her musical talent to her mother, Maxine. Brenda first came to Erie to attend Erie Business Center, where she received a degree in accounting, and after a brief return to Knox following her graduation, she returned to the "Big City" – Erie, for good.

She first appeared on the Erie theatre scene in 1982 as a nun in the Erie Playhouse production of The Sound of Music. And it was during her next EP show, Oliver, that she met her dancing/piano-playing husband Larry. Brenda feels very blessed to have found such a kindred spirit and she and Larry have enjoyed entertaining together for over 25 years. When she isn't "entertaining", Brenda can be found at her Edinboro home spending time with her four-legged babies Casey and Honey-Bunny, gardening or watching baseball. She also might be found at the Edinboro United Methodist Church, where Brenda is the choir director, or at an Edinboro University wrestling match: yes she is a big collegiate wrestling fan!

Some of Brenda's favorite past roles have been Bloody Mary in South Pacific, Mother Superior in Nunsense, Angela in Honky Tonk Angels and the Queen in The Medieval Feast at Riverside. But it is the character of Louise in Always…Patsy Cline that Brenda considers her role of a lifetime, and she is always more than ready to dust off her cowboy boots, put on her fringe, and strut her stuff with her good friend Mandy. Brenda wants to thank all those loyal fans out there that keep coming back for more. " Y'all are just amazin'!"
